I chose Tristan Jimerson’s “A Dish Best Served Cold,: because it made me laugh and I wanted to give it a fun look and feel.

APPROACH
To reflect the story’s “everyman” quality, the design emphasizes anonymity and relatability through the use of half-toned imagery. A pizza-inspired color palette references the central motif, while the cover draws from the visual language of a pizza box. Typography and layout mirror the pacing of the narrative, using shifts in scale and space to guide the reader through key moments.
