Like water rushing in at flood tide, thousands of American soldiers flooded the shores

of Roi-Namur during this important battle of World War II.

FRAMING​

Living on Kwajalein, I noticed the fading battlefield signs and wanted to make the information accessible again in the form of a book and app.

APPROACH
Research the Battle of Roi-Namur to ground the design in accuracy and respect. Use modular grids, hierarchy, archival and contemporary imagery, maps, and hand-drawn illustrations to provide context, while typography and spatial organization clarify complex information into an accessible system.
